Another good sporadic-E opening in OIRT band on August 17, 2008. Some strong signals are received from my Icom IC-R8500 (unmodified IF-filter) at the day light . Antenna is a simple log-periodic for VHF/UHF range!!!

Yesterday afternoon Toni/EA3DTD in Deltebre (Tarragona) SPAIN was heard loud-and-clear in the Chicago area on 14024 kHz. I made a contact with him using an Icom 703 (ten watt HF transceiver) and an 80 meter dipole antenna fed via an MFJ-941C ATU.
