Jul 19, 2008 - Long live freedom of speech. In this country everyone has the right to present their points of view. Good for you Burt !.

othrower74 Says:

Jul 23, 2008 - I am 5'4" 135 to 140 lbs. I have climbed to the base camp on Denali, I do rock climbing, go to the gym three times a week. I Geocache, hike, fish and camp. I have done 3 marathons. Oh I was (about two years ago I left because my job has changed) in SAR and was a firefighter. It just sounds like you have allot of things that you could bring to the table and teach the younger crowd...this will change the mentality. You should know this since you are a teacher.

burt2481 Says:

Jul 29, 2008 - I greatly admire your accomplishments.I just climbed Mt Ascutney, Mt Killington, Mt Abraham but I am nothing compared to you. However I am close to 63.

othrower74 Says:

Jul 29, 2008 - Ok first I have to say wow.....I am very impressed. I appreciate your accomplishments as well. Keep it up.

RayRTB Says:

Aug 1, 2008 - He wasnt attributing any body characteristic to you but you really are a ego maniac. do us all a favor turn in your licence to the fcc and can the youtube video's .because it's clear your in this to draw attention to yourself.

RayRTB Says:

Aug 1, 2008 - Hams are incapable of violence? What the next hamfest your going to?

burt2481 Says:

Aug 1, 2008 - Deerfield in October, will I see you there? What do you want me to wear to be easily found?

burt2481 Says:

Aug 1, 2008 - Actually it is spelled license. Have you graduated ANY school?

GammatronTriode Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - truth revealed about ham radionojust one mansopinions about ham radio

burt2481 Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - Tell me what was NOT factual.

freddo27 Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - My goodness Burt, that's a nice radio you have there for someone who grimaces each time he tunes it over a ham band. Well, your opinions are just that, your opinions. They aren't facts. If they were facts, then the whole amateur world would be forced to agree with you, and as we see here, most disagree. That doesn't mean you're wrong, and it doesn't mean you're just enlightened and they aren't. It means what floats your boat doesn't necessarily float the other guy's. There's room for us all.

burt2481 Says:

Aug 9, 2008 - Which "opinion" of mine was not a fact? Most here do disagree with my comments, but I have dozens of direct email that is very supportive. In any event your thoughts are well expressed.

8592291613 Says:

Aug 11, 2008 - looks like a mail order bride to me ha ha

mikesgunsandammo Says:

Aug 12, 2008 - This only proves where ham radio is going, and that's nowhere.

wolfman19999 Says:

Aug 13, 2008 - This video is funny too! Burt, you raise some good points about how we obsessed hobbyists unwittingly are marginalizing ourselves from the mainstream, and thus seem like idiots or weirdos to outsiders and insiders like yourself. I think once you cross national borders, some of the stereotypes break down (i.e., more women and people of color using Ham radio, people using it in real emergency situations, and people talking about things besides their equipment.)

CamelNLD Says:

Aug 16, 2008 - Hey burt, in the background is a morse code. What does it mean?Greet,Charles

burt2481 Says:

Aug 16, 2008 - The Morse code is simply a boring ham contact going on.

kc9mav Says:

Aug 20, 2008 - Well I would describe it more like a very interesting mode to try out.

gogalicio Says:

Aug 24, 2008 - Thanks Burt,I enjoyed your video, especially the very end. It reminds me that I need to have a more balanced life. Breaking things down into two choices drives the message home well.

Guitarhero980 Says:

Sep 2, 2008 - Why dont Hams have regular conversations? Not About weather or how much equipment they have, but a regular topic(Sports, Politics, TV Shows, Books and Music).

burt2481 Says:

Sep 2, 2008 - Because they either know nothing about those topics or care little about them.
