The remains of the 600 dead from Prebilovci as well as remains of other Serbs from Capljina, Stolac municipalities and other areas (according to some calculations around 3,000 people; the remains were collected in around 120 wooden coffins) were taken out of Surmanci pit in 1990 and buried in the newly built church in Prebilovci. Unfortunately, in June 1992, the church was destroyed and all the remains were turned into the dust and dirt. This was done by the members of HOS, HVO and regular Croatian army.
