Nov 19, 2008 - Kent Hovan is so funny lol
TheGodBen Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I nearly fell off my chair at the point he raised about why planets spin "backwards" when the big bang shot them in a certain direction. That's like asking why the lawnmower isn't cutting grass properly when you turn the key in your car. Sure, they both run on petrol, but they are two completely different things.I'm glad he's in prison.
snakeguy76 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Yes you are correct, I was trying to understand Hovind's diagram which had the some of the arrows going in the wrong directions.
Spetsop Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Hm, that point that you make about 'the sum of energy in the universy being 0 theoretically' has got me thinking. It's an interesting point in a way that it COULD pretty much explain that universe DID come from nothing. "Energy CAN be created out of nothing via quantum fluctuations for a brief moment" (not sure how brief the moment has to be, maybe we are living in such a moment, but this could ONLY be observed by an outsider observing our universe and not by us being in it)
Spetsop Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - lol... I love your analogy, I almost fell off my chair when I read it (laughing though), great job :)
anonbehell Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Errr, don't Christians believe the first man was made from dirt? I sense more projecting...
anonbehell Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Human civilization as we know it, can be date back to over 8,000 years ago in the place now know as Iran, this however doesn't not include human history before this time, nor does this include when the earth was formed, but just on the age of know civilization we know that the biblical version of the creation of the earth is incorrect. You can believe all you want, it wont change the evidence Kent.
idontbelievereligion Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - If this professor existed, when he said 'I don't know, you tell me?' sounds a lot like sarcasm with the answer being blind-stakingly obvious ('gravity').
mp9yq9tx Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - These clowns spend their time trying to poke holes in science namely because they have no evidence to support their own ridiculous ideas. They then use bastardised versions of science to support their own childish beliefs. This whole young earth movement is a last desperate throw of the dice to be taken seriously in science and drag everyone backwards into long outdated mythological belief system.Science has given so much to our world, Hovind and those like him should show some respect.

Terrencje Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - At 12:00 his slide makes a comment about the angular momentum on the solar system, but he is talking about the Big Bang...he doesn't even understand his own slides!
soulinite Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - welcome back gentlmen. Another fine win for reason and the rule of law.To any creationist reading this, CSE is forced to resort to illegal censorship to defend their vile decitful propaganda.
soulinite Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - In the words of thetaomega "he is refuted by his own slide"Kinda lets you know exactly how much hovid respects his audience intellect.
Stryder467 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - You owe me a new Bullshit Meter because you didn't warn me in THIS video! :D
TCmoru Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - i love your comment about when hovind says 150 years is a long time, i guess these people have never heard of deep time. maybe thats why they dont agree that the earth is 4.6 billion years old because by the time they finish saying 4.6 billion they are bored and want to talk more about jesus.
NuclearRadio Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - why does Hovind talk like he's autistic?
sonic8005 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Am I the only one who thinks that Kent is a little... EVIL with how he imagines young people and talks about them? Actually, he's unfairly evil with several things on how he talks about people...
Idoloish Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I did picture him walking out in front of the crowd with a Devil tail, hooves and horns actually. Just the way he talks is like some slick, soulless lawyer.
SwordSworn147 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - He is
sonykroket Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - "why does Hovind talk like he's autistic? ""Hehe, indeed. Anyone notice how ole Kent"Jail-Bird"Hovind pronounces water and matter?Wah-ter and mah-tter. I'm so glad he's behind bars.
calvinhobbesliker Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - if the 12 fermions are the quarks and leptons, that means that photons, bosons, gluons, and gravitons are not matter, right?
GoblinXXX Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Nice last line. Small minded people have small minded gods.
calvinhobbesliker Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - how can the sum of all the energy in the universe be 0? is there negative energy?
Schpwuette Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - The way I understand it is...: if you pull a planet apart, and let go, the two parts fall back together again, with a massive crash (i.e. a highly energetic collision). So, pulling things apart stores energy. So, if everything was in a singularity, there would be no stored energy. That's as far as my understanding goes.
CBUEngineer Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Gaaahhh!! *face-palm* He doesn't stop. My physics, chemistry, and mechanics professors would tar Hovind and make him work out problems until he consented to reality!
