aliciadye Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Thank you so much for doing what you are doing. I too was diagnosed at 19 after being incorrectly diagnosed for years. I am level 1 bipolar manic depressive with A.D.H.D. And I believed for years I didn't need any meds, and it almost cost me my marriage and even my life. Keep doing what you are doing..You Rock!! It was like you were reading my mind.

Nov 19, 2008 - I talk non stop, I re-arrange the living room late at night, I stay home and away from people on my days off, My daily plan changes by the minute. My mind races as if driving through a fog. Sometimes A day all alone feels like a year alone with sadness and crying. Just recently my doctor diagnosed me with bi-polar. Runs on mothers side of the family. And gets worse with age. 36 years without help was terrible.

Nov 19, 2008 - Thank u for your video on meds. i couldn't agree more. i've been without complete meds for about 4 months and i am a complete wreck. i hate waking up to a new day and have thoughts about death or cutting constantly. i got help today to see a doc. i just cant function without meds.
peanutbabe83 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Bipolar, like schizophrenia, requires medications for the amelioration of any symptoms, and I dont believe there are any no alternative options, although I might be wrong. Olanzapine is used for sleeping, and I believe Gabapentin mood stabiliser for bipolar disorder. It can relieve pain, especially neuropathic pain.

Nov 19, 2008 - Just shut up and show us your tits.
SultrySeeker Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I agree with you 100%.I tried to go off meds 4 or 5 times, during my first 10 years of bi-polar treatment. Every time I degenerated back to the typical highs and lows. I have been on lithium combined with welbutrin for the last 20 years. It has been my salvation. I am very successful in my career. If not for the meds I am convinced that I would have committed suicide years ago.Your insulin analogy is the perfect way to describe the need.
shoegalsho Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Thank you!! I watched another video here which was anti Lithium and I mentioned that without Lithium I would be dead. It did work for me and I am much better now! I know that many people do not like it but I'm very pro meds! The girl on the other video was pretty nasty and basically implied that all us guy that can't handle life without meds should be left to the mercy of natural selection! Your videos are a grounded & sensible. A well formed juxtaposition of the key areas of BP/MD. Well done!
lilwhsthug Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - your meds are just a shortcut to you being content with your life. You need to practice meditation. You'll see that your problems in life are ALMOST entirely your imagination. I used to do this all the time before i overcame it. One time i came to the conclusion and wrote a story that i was never good at anything, and that i had friends because people felt sorry for me, today i see it was an entire fabrication because i let my self become so depressed
lilwhsthug Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - whether you feel normal and balanced with your meds or not your missing the true and mental balances that most do not seem to achieve completely. EVERYTHING you are saying about others seeing you as fake, is entirely your imagination. You've fixilated your mind to see these situations as much harsher than they are, and not looking at the true aspects of what should matter for your life.
lilwhsthug Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Its like running for president. All sorts of things are said by the various canditates, poloticians and people, stories are created on why candidates are promoting the things they are, and what they are really for, some may be true and some may not, but when its all done and said, these stories(the same as your mental fixations) mean nothing in what a person can take power over. Obama is accused of associating with terrorists, and hes not going to let it stop him from becoming president
lilwhsthug Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - and by the way 'SFjane' blows your shit out of the water and that is simply my opinion, but honestly coming from a former schizophrenic suicidal, extremely hopeless individual she has overcome all of her mental issues entirely through meditation and practices and continues this without medication. i advise you with or without medication to consider what meditation can truly do for your mental

Nov 19, 2008 - I've been comfirmed as bi polar for the past 13 years (31 now) i've tryed nearly all the meds and they don't work, i fight through the low periods of which there have been many maybe some day i will lose out and end my life but you know what it'll be my choice not influenced by anything else.
SpiralArchitech Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Its also funny the high as i call it has destroyed nearly every close relationship in my life i argue over stupid crap and am agressive but the low period when im quiet and think about maybe topping myself the odd time people like me better is that fukked up or what!
lilwhsthug Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - thats a waste of a life i hope you dont. Confirmed that your bipolar? did they take a brain scan or something that shows 2 poles in your mind? bipolar is nothing more than a theory dude, theres not one piece of scientific evidence that confirms that there is such thing as bipolar disorder. Everyone has mental illness, and its always worse at times than others. You can have full blown schizophrenia, seeing the devil, hearing all sorts of shit, and become completely normal without any medication
lilwhsthug Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - its so fuckin stupid tho honestly, people let there thoughts consume them way to much, i am one of them, but at least i understand it. stay on top of your mental game, practice some meditation and you will see the difference over a period of time and its not going to happen on its own, one day that high you experienced being negative may become an extremely positive one. have an open mind too, that is part of not getting along with others, try your best to see things from a different point
enors412 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I was diagnosed Bipolar. Tryed out some medications. After getting off them, and doing nights upon nights of research I have come to a conclusion. This "illness" is nothing more than the result of neglectful and poor parenting techniques. My mom was a selfish stress producer and my dad was a bump on a log. To make things more confusing they were hypocritical Christians. Don't take my word for it. Investigate yourselves it for yourselves. Stress causes 90% of all disorders.
SpiralArchitech Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - meditation might help you but if you live in the real world with a real job that cause's stress you can't just stop everything and go and meditate.
lilwhsthug Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - nope that is absolutely right, i dont think its entirely parenting but considering those are the most influential people in ones life a lot of it usually has to do with that. Doctors first came to that conclusion and now they call it a disorder. this shits a lot more simple than people see it as, and doctors are just complicating things by diagnosing people with so called "symptoms" when they should be simplifying it and prescribing people with temporary medication until they get back on top
