Nov 19, 2008 - Well. I've met two of your favorite guitarists. The Swift Boat campaign was the height of scum and was bank-rolled by your pal, The Grand Sleaze of The Century. He put Bush in office with evil lies and then Bush lied and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people including thousands of young American boys. We can thank the lies of Turd Bloone and gullible morons like you for that. I'm sure Metheny would just love you. Not. Hope you can wake up, Chief. It's later than you think.

Nov 19, 2008 - Lol ... he uses mm for million! We use that for millimetre! BTW the US proven natural gas reserve actually is very small and will finish very quickly if used to replace petrol used currently! And the main problem with wind and solar is their dependency on nature. No wind, no electricity! No sunlight (i.e. evenings when people actually use the electricity); no electricity! These are only good as supplementary sources.

Nov 19, 2008 - i am glad to see that there is someone that know what the hells is going on with america there is no oil
PARKEREAL Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - he is a nice plant with that smooth talkin draw green plans yeah lets trust big oil . oh they will control this and charge out the ass isnt he one of the ones who works 4 big oil? aka bush cheaney
PARKEREAL Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - oh who is paying for these adds oh he just cares about us
PARKEREAL Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - your absolutely right but the average person will be duped and you dont have enough money to stop these bastered they have oil monies
wolfsfire68 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Boone is a smart man, you don't become a billionaire without being one. Great ideas, but I've got a good one myself. The government needs to find the patent on the perpertual engine that a brilliant man built that they buried so long ago and dust it off. The engine never stops, ever..no fuel required..problem..solved just like that. The underlying issue is greed, indeed the human animal's worst flaw.
BankruptTerror Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Energy dependence on Persian Gulf countries is America's foremost National Security problem. We are financing our own demise by sending billions of dollars to the people who want to kill us. Radical madrassas that turn kids into homicidal zombies are financed by oil revenues. Radical mosques that preach hate, right here in America, are financed by oil revenues. The old slogan "Live Free or Die" might as well be replaced by "Energy Independence or Death". Support Pickens Plan! Bankrupt Terror!
TheRealArchAngel Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - *BTW the US proven natural gas reserve actually is very small and will finish very quickly if used to replace petrol used currently!**Yes it peaked in the 70's and despite finding 300,000 more wells in the last couple of decads (And yes, we need to drill for natural gas, just like oil), production is actually less then in the 70's...got maybe 10 years of Natural gas left in current wells and there are no more "easy" wells to drill *No wind,No sunlight no electricity*Deep earth is always hot
Nasdaq7 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - And America is going deeper and deeper into debt...
ZYahood Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - BankruptTerror; close off Israel and there will be no terror in the world. Israel is the root of the problem.
kabio22 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - This guy makes a LOT of sense. Yes Natural Gas is finite but using it as a transportation fuel is a step in the right direction. Its cleaner and it cuts our dependency on foreign oil. I'm all for his plan.
TommeyLeeReed Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I have many new ideas that will help with energy dependent world.
ofunck Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - TB Pickens is a man truely out to help us. He has his money, but he is old and he knows it. He says it in one of his videos. He's spending his money on these advertisments. Why? B/c he has the money to make it happen. I support Pickens 100%. Replace obama and McCain with HIM!!
rjohnson17 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I agree.. I wish he would have ran for President or at least will be chosen by the winner (Obama) as energy secretary.
adbirds Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - I met Mr. Pickens after his presentation in Austin today. He is correct and we do need to build the infrastructure for a wind / solar solution. Meanwhile, over-the-road trucks could be powered by compressed natural gas. We can and must do this!
yukonjac Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - 44/1000 people in china that has cars is not for much longer. And when the demand for oil in china hits the market we will be in big trouble.
adamackels Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - The only thing is, battery electric vehicles are going to come online very soon, Hydrogen vehicles are close to release too. I'd be interested in Mr. Boone's opinion on those 2 items that I mentioned. Hydrogen is hard to produce, and right now very expensive. There is a lot of things holding back Hydrogen, but I think <10 years, we'll have many options in vehicles, being Hydrogen and/or battery electric.
hotFusionReaction Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Natural Gas could also be a bridge for Hydrogen Vehicles as well. Right now, Hydrogen can be produced from Natural Gas very cheaply.Basically, if we begin converting our gasoline vehicles to burn Natural Gas, we can build up a Natural Gas refueling infrastructure.Later (as you said, maybe in as little as 10 years) when fuel cell vehicles become feasible, they can easily piggy-back on the already existing Natural Gas infrastructure.
g12er Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Part of the problem was putting Texas oilmen in charge of the government who wanted to help their friends in private business. If you have leaders who don't owe their shirts to the oil industry then energy policy would be much different. Thus, the solution is also political, Pickens. I'm sure you realize that, despite your support for the Bush adminstration's dead-end energy-war policy.
Larrymcphereson Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Mr. Pickens presents a truly viable and impressive plan especially when you think about specifically applying what he wants to do with natural gas toward TRUCKING and BUSES for MASS TRANSIT. We could save money and reduce emissions and OUR FOREIGN OIL DEPENDENCE!GODSPEED BOONE PICKENS!
invader5000 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - As he mentioned from time to time, this isn't 100% certain to work. And if it did, it would only be temporary. But at least the man is offering very viable solutions. And even if it was only temporary (by temporary I mean it'd last decades), it'd still buy us time to get a longterm solution. We have some people claiming hydrogen's the answer, some saying solar, and others still saying electricity. We need the time this could buy to pick one and develop it accordingly.
Pvic Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - how reliable can wind be in that area with constant tornados? seems like a risky investment.
peakingout Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Boone is smart and obviously passionate. My concern is that there is NOT plenty of natural gas. It will peak within 10 years. When natural gas peaks, it has a very steep drop-off. Then what? His plan will work better if he increases the amount of wind and solar to a much greater scale.
utube9000 Says:
Nov 19, 2008 - Scum of the Earth? What a self righteous ass you are. If he supported Bush, it's because he believed he was the right man for the job, not out of evil intent. I hate Bush too - but I understand that not everyone knows the things I know and sees things the way I do.I see a patriotic businessman who loves his country and is sharing his ideas with the rest of us. Will he make money from it? Maybe - so what? What have you done zonaezd? I smell a loooser....
