Rockford Fosgate Punch 10" HX2 subwoofer (3" dual voice coil) playing free-air at about 450 watts RMS off my Alpine MRP-M850 @ 2ohms & Kenwood DDX-7017 monitor. In my opinion this woofer in the right enclosure/power is equvilent to a RF T1 10" at half the size. This is QUALITY Rockford when there products were made in the USA. -- Song is from a Bass Mechanik CD.

Nov 19, 2008 - I'm a big Old Schook Kicker and fosgate fan to the max! and indeed kicker was good back in the mid 90's and fogate was sick during the mid 80's. i have the first gen Pucnh 150 amp and don't get me started on the kicker stuff :D, and as for Bsktbll895 your friend probably didn't even have amp of head unit bass on bass because the Power 500m's are crazy!

Nov 19, 2008 - His T1 was in ported pre-fab box I forgot to mention. The enclosure has a lot to do with the amount of output, not just the sub. Perfectly tuned aeroported boxes are very impressive. And yes, my Kenwood DDX-7017's bass was "on".

Nov 19, 2008 - To the non-tuned ear prefabs sound fine but once you experience a custom built ported box tuned to that specific subs specs it sounds noticably better.
