But I think what ultimately doomed Will's chances in winning the contest was the Debbie Allen connection and the unrestrained biases that sometimes color the judges' criticisms, which may have turned off some viewers.Is it just me, or is Nigel getting creepy, Mary's "hot tamale train" is getting old, and the guest judge Toni "I forgot I was judging" Basil was just full of herself.

Jul 27, 2008 - And you know how judges sometimes criticize a performance as "dishonest"? Well, I haven't heard a more dishonest criticism as Nigel's "You both carried it off really really well" and Mary's "It was really good" critique of Chelsea's and Joshua's disco routine, which was very sloppy and not in sync in many places. Not to mention, Joshua's fall midway through the routine. If you happen to see it (again) in youtube, you'll see what I mean.

Jul 28, 2008 - i was trying to give you all a little bit of credit about these ridiculous critiques until you said: "that's not hip-hop, that's rap..."it's one thing to not like something and comment; it's another to be misinformed and attempt to critique. wow. just wow.but about the dancing, i loved will on the show and i'm sad to see him go. but his future looks as bright if not even brighter than his past.comfort--though she's improved and i find her likable--should not have come back, IMO.

Jul 28, 2008 - I've never thought Will acted "cocky" over "overconfident". One has to believe in himself don't they? But even if he was.. so what? I just saw him as a very talented, very cute, very sweet guy.Modesty in the other direction can be irritating too. On American Idol last year (I think), there was this girl named Melinda who appeared shocked everytime she was complimented. She was clearly talented so her reaction to positive feedback began to appear disingenuous.

Jul 28, 2008 - I was a nurse for many years and realized that the really cocky surgeons, the ones who saw themselves as God, were the ones I wanted if I had to have surgery. I mean, who wants an "aww shucks" kinda guy who doesn't have confidence in himself? I want the one that literally charted "I snatched patient from the jaws of death". I like Courtney, Katee, Mark and Twitch this week. MADROSED, I may not always agree with you, but I appreciate your critique.
