Around six-thirty in the morning Joe was fully dressed and was in Nick's room.J: *grabbed Nick's shoulder and shakes him a little* come on Nick wake up.N: *sleepily* why?J: I want you to come with me to see Emily.N: *looks at his alarm clock* It's six thirty in the morning! On a Saturday! J: Come on!N: Ask Kevin to go with you, I'm too tired!!!K: *From his room* Will you guys shut up! People are trying to sleep!N,J: Sorry!J: Please.N: Fine! But if I pass out on our way there you have to carry me! J: Fine. I'll meet you downstairs in a couple minutes. *Joe leaves Nicks room and runs downstairs. As he waits for Nick he notices another message on the Answering Machine. He pressed PLAY and Emily's voice came up*E: *On the message* Hey Joe! I just woke up and figured you'd be up. I guess not. I just wanted to call you and tell you that I'm just fine. I hope to see you today! Alright gotta go, the doctor's here. Love ya bye!N: *halfway down the steps. He yawns* who was that?J: Emily. She said she's feeling fine.N: that's great. Now we don't need to visit. Goodnight *He turns around to go upstairs but Joe grabs him by the arm and pulls him down*J: We're still going! *Once Nick is off the stairs, Joe puts his hands on his shoulders and guides him out the door, across the yard, and down the sidewalk*N: Joe I still can't believe you got me up. I didn't sleep that well last night.J: Well that's your fault.N: Can we at least rest for a second. We been walking for so long.J: Fine. You can lay on the grass.N: Thank you *Nick lays down on the grass and in seconds fell asleep*J: Nick! Nick wake up! *Nick didn't move* It looks like I'm going to have to carry him to the hospital. *He kneels down, picks Nick up, and starts walking to the hospital. After a couple minutes they arrived. Once they were in the waiting room, Joe put Nick down, and cracked his back.J: Okay Nick wake up. *Nick doesn't move* Come on Nick wake up! *He gently slaps Nick in the face and he still doesn't. Then a doctor comes up to them*D: Can I help you two boys?J: Yes, I can't wake my brother up.D: *Looks at Nick, examines him* Um, kid. He's passed out not sleeping.J: Well, can you do anything to wake him up?D: Yes, I'll have a couple of doctors bring him into a room and I'll examine him to see what caused him to passed out. Does he have any medical problems?J: I'm not sure. All I know is that he has type one diabetes.D: Okay, thanks. I'll come get you when I'm done. Okay? Oh, and what is his name?J: Sure. Nicholas Jonas! *the doctor calls over a couple doctors wile Joe walks up to the counter * I'm excuse me *reads her name tag* Mrs. Demi Vato. I'm looking for Miss Emily Sanders.DV: Um *reads the list of rooms* she's in room 666, right down that hall.J: Thanks! *He runs down the hall and knocks on a door that had 666 on it*E: COME IN! *Joe walks into the room* Hi Joe!J: Hey Em, are you okay?E: Me, I'm fine. The doctors say I should be out of her tomorrow. So what's you've been up to, I haven't talk to you in a while.J: Not much. Oh, I made a tape for Nick. I wanted to give it to him on his birthday. But I didn't finish it till last night.E: What was the tape?J: It was a couple home videos of me and Nick.E: Aw, you really care about him don't you?J: Yeah, I mean sometimes he can be a royal pain. But when he was born, the first time I held him, even though I was three I knew I had to protect him. He doesn't know it but I'm proud of Nick.E: Aw, that's what I love about you, you always care so much about your brothers.*With Nick a couple minutes ago*N: *Woke up and saw that he was in a white room. He looked to see that a man was taking a needle out of his arm* Where am I?D: Oh, you're awake. Good, you're in a hospital.N: What happened?D: By the looks of it, your blood sugar got to low and you passed out.N: Can I go? *The doctor nods his head yes, Nick gets off the bed, and then walked out of the room. Once he was in the hallway he heard Joe's voice.J: Yeah, I mean sometimes he can be a royal pain. But when he was born, the first time I held him, even though I was three I knew I had to protect him. He doesn't know it but I'm proud of Nick.E: Aw, that's what I love about you, you always care about so much about your brothers. *Nick smiles. He then sees that Joe was about to leave the room. So he ran back into the room and got on the bed. He left the door open so Joe could see him. Joe goes into the hospital and sees Nick lying on the bed. He walks into the room*J: Hey baby bro, how you feeling?N: Fine. *Joe walks up to him and gives him a hug* Joe, I heard everything you said to Emily.J: Oh.N: Did you really mean it? Are you proud of me?J: Yea.N: *Nick smiles* really?J: Yeah, I mean you can be such a pain! But I'm proud that you're my brother. *Joe then gives Nick a hug. After that he ruffles Nicks hair*End 1-2
