Fact is at least 90% of whites in the US during the time of slavery were poor, broke farmers who just had 10 or more kids to work the farm. Very few could afford the cost of slaves....as much as 1000000 bucks when adjusted to today's dollar. And there were more white indentured servants here than black slaves. My family never owned slaves. I'm not paying any more than I already pay when 30% of my income is taken from me. ;-)
