*Dion's house, Sydney and Vanessa had just returned from school* Vanessa POV: I threw my backpack on the chair in the living room. School was boring today, as usual. I had watched almost everyone during class passing notes to some one. Of course no one passed any to me, duh, I didn't have many friends. Okay, I had no friends, but still. Sydney ran up to her room, she was probably going on the computer...again. Ever since our school announced they just started an online chat program she has been on the computer non-stop. Talking to some guy on there...it was a waste of time in my opinion. But Sydney loved it...I don't know why she needed to socialize MORE. I mean, seriously, she was the most popular girl in school. If anyone should do this it should be me...whatever. I decided to go check out what Sydney was doing...I was bored. I went into her room and found her typing on the computer...I knew itI walked up to Sydney and said, "So what'cha doing?"Sydney just replied with "Stuff"I peered over to see what she was doing. She was on the school's online chat...talking to some guy, at least, by the user-name it looked like a guy...I read out loud an IM he just sent Sydney: "You are so right...music is my life...I don't know what I would do without it."Sydney looked up to me with an excited tone "He plays the guitar, drums and piano. How cool is that?" I rolled my eyes and just said: "yeah...okay...it's cool." Sydney noticed me roll my eyes "You know Vanessa you should actually try this...you might happen to like actually talking to people from school" I annoyed at that moment, "I've told you once, and I've told you twice...NO. It's a waste of time."Sydney asked me "Just try it. You might happen to like it. Please try it?"Why did Sydney want me to do it so much? If she really wanted me to have friends she would let me hang out with her whole 'popular crowd' instead of ignore and pretend she didn't know me, "No Sydney"Sydney gave up on me "Whatever" and then she started typing again. Just then my older sister, Liberty, walked in.Liberty looked at Sydney, "Sydney, mom wants you to help make dinner"Sydney glanced at Liberty "okay hold on one minute..." she typed up something real quick and quickly jogged out of the room. Liberty turned to me and looked at the computer "what was she doing on there?""Online chat"Liberty acted like she was surprised "Again? She's been on that chat thing the second she found out about it.""I know...she's talking to some guy on there..."Liberty looked at Sydney's computer again "You should try it Vanessa, I bet you would like talking to people on there"Ugh, first Sydney, now Liberty, I really didn't need this. "Just because you're older than me doesn't mean you can tell me what to do" I snappedLiberty raised her eyebrow "Excuse me?"I groaned. Liberty acted like she was my mom, it was enough to have one mother....I didn't need another motherly-like person. "I'm going to my room" I told Liberty and walked out of Sydney's room. I took my laptop out and thought 'Maybe I should try it...no...it stupid. Remember? Waste. Of. Time. But I don't have any friends, so I'm wasting my time anyways...right? Stop yourself Vanessa. You don't need to talk to stupid people from school' I wasn't sure what to do. Sydney seemed to enjoy talking to people there. I opened up an internet page which brought me to my home page, which was the website for the brand of my laptop, I never bothered to change it. I typed in the schools online chat programs website, and made a random screen-name. I signed on and waited for someone to talk to me first. I wasn't going to be the one to start a conversation here. 15 minutes rolled by...I was bored. I decided to log off, but before I could something popped up onto my screen. In big letters it said: You've Got Mail. I had received an IM. 'This should be interesting' I thought.Okay so it's the 1st chapter for this series, not that great, but oh well. And I'm really sorry, I know I was supposed to post this Saturday but I've been really busy, and then my prom was the other day and such.Oh and guys, if you haven't read Chapter 21 Season 1 Finale yet of Jona-licious go read it...NOW! Your all in for a shocker ;]
