'The Global Network [brought] together world citizens who [would], for the first time, gather to shine a light on what StratCom had become during its 16th annual conference, April 11 to 13, 2008.' The conference was hosted by the Nebraskans for Peace. For more info. www.space4peace.org/ www.nebraskansforpeace.orgTim Rinne (Nebraska) is the State Coordinator of Nebraskans for Peace, the oldest statewide Peace & Justice organization in the United States. A lifelong Nebraskan, Tim has tracked the evolution of StratCom from the beginning with his work for the Nuclear Freeze Campaign in the early 1980s, on up through the end of the Cold War in 1989 and the Abolition 2000 call for international disarmament in the '90s, and now in the aftermath of 9/11, when StratCom has become the 'nerve center' for waging the "War on Terror." Now in his fifteenth year as NFP State Coordinator, he has also worked for the Democratic Party, served as a legislative aide in the Nebraska Unicameral, and managed more political campaigns than he cares to remember. He is currently on the Executive Committee of the Nebraska Sierra Club and serves as the Nebraskans for Peace liaison to the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space - nfpstate@nebraskansforpeace.org
