The fact that Bush got elected without having set foot in most of the countries that Obama (and McCain before him) visited is really not a precedent that either of the two candidates would be well advised to follow. World opinion of the US is at an all-time low and that isn't something that Americans should ignore in the lead up to this election.

Jul 24, 2008 - I think he thinks he is the next President of the United States and therefore soon to be the most important person on the planet. It is why his speech sounded like that of a statesman, which is a refreshing change from the current President who, on his better days, sounds like a petulant frat-boy.

Jul 24, 2008 - Obama is a fraud & I don't appreciate him using Europe as a publicity stunt to get elected. The Iraq war, the Afghanistan war and Obama's plans of a Pakistan war & any talk of threatning a war in Iran are deeply unpopular in Europe including the UK public. Obama was sold as an anti war candidate which is why he was popular, but notice no applause was given in his speech when he said for more European troops to be sent to Afghanistan & Pakistan like Bush drags us into.Support Ralph Nader.
