The Beach Boys were in Philly for the 4th of July 1985 and Jimmy was around town getting ready for the Led Zep reunion, as the first Live Aid was the following week at JFK Stadium!! I can't comment of the Washington D.C. part.

Jimmy did a bunch of songs with them, and I remember distinctly that the fireworks kicked off during Barbara Ann, and Mike Love walked over to Jimmy and pointed for him to look up. Right behind them was the Washington Monument. Mr T was on drums, and New Edition were dancing around Jimmy everytime he did a solo. He was on fire that night. Great, great memory of this gig.

Apr 21, 2008 - mc8lgm: uh, the beach boys are considered one of the best bands of all time, pet sounds one of the most important albums, brian wilson a genius songwriter and musician. therefore, i would not call jimmy a "WHORE" for jamming with them. in addition, jimmy says he did the puff daddy crap at the time for his kid. there was certainly nothing wrong with the guitar playing, it was the "singing" that was bad. ps it's spelled JIMMY not JIMI, DUHHHHH.
