Jul 5, 2008 - Oooh, I know, I saw at one point a big chunk of burning shit land on someones roof. Freaky. And we already had a heinous house fire only 2 doors down this summer. I swear, these people are pyros!!!

Jul 5, 2008 - Maybe it is just the friends I have in Chicago, but, man, do they love their alcohol too! You guys have some wild bars there... and open 'til like 4 in the morning. That is nutty.

paisleyduck Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - You don't have 4am bars where you live?? WOW. I guess that's how much I get out of Chicago. hahaha. :)
NorCalCorsello Says:
Jul 7, 2008 - California State law requires that all bars not only be closed by 2am, but that ALL drinks and bottles are cleared by 2am. Most bars close by 1:45 am to make this happen. There are NO exceptions, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego and Sacramento... all closed by 2am.

Jul 5, 2008 - I was in a bar last night that had posters saying "celebrate independence day here". What? Surely that's just celebrating us losing a war? Any excuse for a booze up...As a sidenote, those fireworks are immense, the ones we tend to have here are seriously puny.
